Written in small taʻlīq, in black ink with use of red for headings. The text is framed within a single red line. European paper with watermark. Occasional maginal annotations, apparently by the same hand as the main text. First fol. of the text damaged, with loss of text. The first and last fol. of the copy (fol. 1 and 308 in the modern foliation in pencil) are re-used leaves, with the beginning of a text (on iṣtilāḥ ahl al-ḥadīth on fol. 1b ; on al-Risālah fī al-manṭiq by Athīr al-Dīn al-Abharī on fol. 308a).Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Taṣawwuf tā 131". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 1059".Origin: Copy completed in Qusṭanṭinīyah, Madrasat Murād Pāshā-yi ʻatīq, on 22 Ramaḍān 1067 [July 4, 1657] by ʻAbd al-Wahhāb(?) ibn --mūr ibn Ḥabīb (colophon, fol. 307a, followed by verses of poetry). - Dark blue paper over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, and envelope flap. Brown leather spine and fore-edge flap. Paper pastedown and free endpaper. - One hundred traditions from the Maṣābīḥ al-sunnah by al-Ḥusayn ibn Masʻūd al-Baghawī (d. 516/1122), with paraenetic commentary (see the table of contents in the preamble, fol. 2a-4b).
