Notlar Ms. codex.Title from title page (fol. 1a).Physical description: 19 lines per page. Written in medium small taʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Contains diagrams in black and red ink. European paper with watermark, glossy. Ḥāshiyah on the margins of the beginning of the text, apparently by the same hand as the main text, attributed to Muḥyī al-Dīn, C̨elebi, ʻAbd al-Raḥīm, Khwājah Zādah, etc., and excerpted from Ḥāshiyah-yi Tajrīd, Sharḥ-i Tajrīd, Sharḥ-i Maqāṣīd, etc. Fol. 46b-48b: Blank.Origin: Copied by al-Sayyid ʻAlī ibn al-sayyid Walī(?), under the supervision of Muḥammad al-Dabāghī in Sīwās [Sivas] in the Madrasah Shifāʼīyah, and completed on a Sunday at the end of Ṣafar 1091 [March 1680] (colophon, fol. 46a).Incipit: الحمد لله الذى خلق كل شيء بقدر وقدّر له ما يليق به من اشكال وصور والصلوة على من تمّ بمقدمه رسم دائرة الرسالة والتشريع ... وبعد فان الهندسة مع متانة مسايلها و وثاقة دلايلها بحيث لا ياتيها الباطل من بين يديها ولا من خلفها علم يحتاج اليه الكملة المتفكرون فى خلق السموات والارض ... [2ب] ... بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلوة على نبيه محمد وآله واصحابه وبعد فان [3أ] جماعة من الفضلاء وطائفة من الاصدقاء التمسوا منى رسالة تكون مقدمة والة فى اقتناء اى اتخاذ براهين العلوم الحسابية الظ انه اراد بالعلوم الحسابية ههنا القوانين التى هى مسايل علم الحسابExplicit: ويلاح ز الذى هو مربع ح ى اعنى ح ب النصف مع الزيادة وذلك ما اردناه وهذه الاشكال الخمسة الاخيرة من ثانية كتاب الاصول لاوقليدس وليكن هذا آخر الكلام تمت الرسالة التأسيسية المنسوبة الى قاضى زاده الرومى - Quarter bound. Pink paper pastedown and free endpaper. - Commentary on Ashkāl al-taʼsīs, selected theorems from Euclid's Elements by Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Ashraf al-Ḥusaynī al-Samarqandī.
