Shawwāl 883, Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd Allāh al-Azharī nazīl Ḥalab.According to fol. 116b this is an abridgment by Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd Allāh ibn Maḥmūd (identical with the copyist? cf. infra) of Ṭīb al-ḥabīb, a commentary on the Burdah by al-Khujandī (cf. Brockelmann, GAL, I, 309, commentary 9; Mashhad, adabīyāl no. 76; the ms. Leiden 718 contains an abridgment). The ms. Garrett 66 (fol. 2a) contains a biographical note by Khujandī's disciple Zayn al-Dīn al-Khawāfī (d. 838/1435: Brockelmann, GAL, II, 265) according to which Jalāl al-Dīn Abū Ṭāhir Aḥmad al-Khujandī d. 7 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 802/ 1400. Hkh col. 1336 mentions al-Khujandī's commentary without quoting its incipit, but in col. 1333 he identifies a text with incipit identical with that of the above-mentioned mss. (الحمد لله الذى خلع على حبىبه محمد) as being Ibn Marzūq al-Tilimsānī's Izhār ṣidq al-mawaddah, which is evidently incorrect; see Garrett no 39Yq. Ḥājjī Khalīfah, Kashf al-ẓunūn,'s identification was adopted by Ahlwardt, Berlin 7788 (= Brockelmann, GAL, I, 309, commentary 7). Of the two identical mss. Topkapı Sarayı Müzesi Kütüphanesi Arapc̦a yazmalar kataloğu, 8542 and 8543 the former is ascribed to Ibn Marzūq, the latter to al-Khujandī.Incip.: ... حامدا الله العلى العظىم ومستعىنا بالله العزىز العلىمThe commentary on first verse begins on fol. 1b, line 7: ... الذکر بالضم بالقلب وبالکسر باللسان وعند بعض کل فى کلAccording to fol. 116b this is an abridgment by Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd Allāh ibn Maḥmūd (identical with the copyistcf. infra) of Ṭīb al-ḥabīb, a commentary on the Burdah by al-Khujandī (cf.
