Gold-stamped and -tooled decorative frame and edging. Brown marbled paper pastedowns and endpapers. Endbands. Woven bookmark. - Treatise on drugs, based on the Jāmiʻ mufradāt al-adwiyah wa-al-aghdhiyah by Ibn al-Bayṭār (d. 646/1248). The text is followed on fol. 240a-b by a note written by the same hand as the main text, relating a saying by the author to the effect that he completed this work on Monday 25 Jumādá al-Ākhirah 711. Another note on fol. 240b in the hand of Madyan ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān, physician at the Dār al-Shifā in Cairo (Miṣr), reports an autograph ijāzah from the author for Muẓaffar al-Dīn Fatḥ Allāh dated beginning of Muḥarram 748, found in another copy of the text. This is surrounded by annotations with details on the name of the author.
