Notlar Ms. codex.Title from fol. 103b.18 lines per page. Written in a very casual script in black ink with use of red to overline the commented text and for diagrams. Interlinear and marginal notes mostly by the same hand. A few notes on pieces of paper placed between the leaves. Short texts and inscriptions on fol. 103b-104b. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits two fol.). Title on the lower edge of the text block (hardly legible).Inscription in Arabic numerals on a spine label (horizontal): "32". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Riyāḍiyāt 50". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 24/2".Copied in Shaʻbān 8?52 (colophon, fol. 103a).Incipit: الحمد لله الذي جعل الشمس ضياء والقمر نوراً وبسط على بساط البسيط ... وبعد فلا اقسم بمواقع النجوم ... [3ب] ... الحمد هو الثناء باللسان على الجميل لله عَلم للواجب الوجودExplicit: من دقايق الساعات على ما ذهب اليه البتانى كما لا يخفى على من له درجة فى الحساب والله اسرع الحاسبين تمت هذه النسخة الشريفة - Brown leather over paper pasteboards. Marbled paper pastedowns. - Commentary on a work on astronomy by Maḥmūd ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻUmar al-Jighmīnī (d. after 1221) entitled al-Mulakhkhaṣ fī ʻilm al-hayʼah. According to a note at the end of the text, the commentary was completed in 814 H. [1411 or 12] (see fol. 103a).
Kaynak Several ownership statements: one signed Ṣāḥib Findīqʹzādah al-Ḥājj Ḥāfiẓ Afandī, dated 1245 H. [1829 or 30], with seal on fol. 1a; one obliterated, dated 1130 [1717 or 18] on fol. 2a; one obliterated on fol. 103b. Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda, 1942.
