Light cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. A few marginal notes. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. On fol. 1a: Several inscriptions in Persian and Arabic ; ownership statements. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starts on fol. 3a). Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits a number of leaves).Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "ʻAqāʼid 41". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 318".Copied by Muṣṭafá ibn Yaʻqūb ibn Zakariyāʼ al-...mālajī on a Friday of Rabīʻ al-Ākhir 909 (colophon, fol. 328a).Incipit: الحمد لله الذى تولّهت الافهام فى كبرياء ذاته وتحيّرت الاوهام فى عظمة صفاته ... اما بعد فاعلموا معاشر طلاب اليقينExplicit: باعتبار هذا المتضمن قوله وليكن اخر ما اوردنا ايراده فى حواشى المواقف ونسال الله تعالى ان يجعله صالحا ... الحمد لله على التمام ولرسوله افضل الصلوة والسلام - Brown leather over pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. The upper and lower covers are similarly tooled with a blind tooled mandorla with a gold painted outline with two pendants on the vertical axis and an outer frame made of blind tooled fillets and a gold painted inner fillet. Similar outer frame on the envelope flap with a smaller blind tooled and gold painted stamp on its pointe. - Gloss on a commentary by ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad al-Jurjānī (al-Sayyid al-Sharīf, d. 816/1413) on al-Mawāqif by ʻAḍud al-Dīn al-Ījī (d. 886/1481).
