Notlar	Ms. codex.Title from inscription on fol. 3a.Physical description: 21 lines per page. Written in medium small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red to overline the commented text and for headings. On a few leaves, the text is framed within two red lines (see fol. 72a-73a). Light cream paper, glossy, with pulp visible. Several inscriptions on fol. 2a-3a, including short excerpts and ownership statements, some obliterated. Fol. 123-130 are later replacements on European paper. Fol. 2 and 203 are a later additions on European paper, with hāshiyah and several inscriptions. Inscriptions on the pastedown of the upper cover. Foliation in pencil using Western numerals (counts the first fly-leaf as fol. 1).Origin: Copy completed in the first decade of Ṣafar 851 [April 1447]. The Sirāj al-Dīn ibn Ṭayyib al-Aydākī(?) mentioned in an ownership statement on the margin of the colophon (fol. 202a) might be the copyist.Incipit: الحمد لله الذى الهمنا حقايق المعانى ودقايق البيان وخصصنا ببدايع الايادى ... وبعد فان احق الفضايل بالتقديم واسبقها فى استيجاب التعظيم هو المحلى فى(؟) حقايق العلوم والمعارف ... [5ب] بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله فتح كتابه بعد التيمن بالتسمية بحمد الله سبحانهExplicit: ذلك اشارة الى ان هذا انما يظهر عند التامل والتذكر للاحكام المذكرة فى علمى المعانى والبيان وان لكل مقام مقال(؟) لا يحسن فيه غيره ولا يقوم مقامه ... قد وفّقنا للاتمام وحقق لنا الفوز بهذا المرام والحمد لله ولي الانعام والصلوة على محمد وآله عليه وعليهم السلام - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. The covers are similarly blind tooled and stamped, with a central mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis. Outer border consisting of fillets. Yellow paper pastedowns. - Commentary on Talkhīṣ al-Miftāḥ by Jalāl al-Dīn al-Qazwīnī (d. 739/1338), an abridgment of part 3 of Miftāḥ al-ʻulūm by al-Sakkākī (d. 626/1229), on rhetoric (al-maʻānī wa-al-bayān). This copy has several ḥāshiyah on the margins and between the lines of the main text.
