Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "656/2 Ḥāʼ". Water damage (some leaves hardly legible).Incipit: قال سيدنا وشيخنا الامام العالم ... جلال الدين السيوطى الحمد لله الذي بعث على راس كل ماية سنة من يجدد لهذه الامة امر دينها ... هذا كتاب اودعت فيه من الكلم النبوية الوفا ومن الحكم المصطفوية صنوفاExplicit: ولا يستعيذ من شي الا اعاده الله منه ت هق عن ابى هريرة وهذا اخر الجامع الصغير من حديث البشير النذير وهو عشره الاف حديث مرتب عل حروف المعجم تاليف سيدنا ومولانا شيخ الاسلام ومفتى الانام حافط العصر والزمان ومجتهد الوقت والاوان جلال الدين ابى الفضل السيوطى الشافعى رفعه الله ونفعنا والمسلمين بعلومه - Marbled paper on pape pasteboards for lower and upper covers, and envelope flap.
