Written in medium large naskh in black ink with use of red; some words are written in red ink with dots in black ink (see fol. 4b-5a, 62b). Yāʾ for alif maqṣūrah. Fol. 1 and 83 in the modern foliation in pencil are later added fly-leaves. Several inscriptions on the pastedown of the upper cover, on fol. 2a-b, on fol. 3b-4a, including verses of poetry, some attributed to Avicenna (Bū ʻAlī Sīnā). Stained with water.Majority of quinions ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "ʻUlūm ---(?) 172".
