Marginal and interlinear annotations and glosses. Notes of reading "balagha qirāʼatan" (see fol. 2b, lower margin). Fol. 294 is a later addition with inscriptions.Copied in 714 H. by ʻAlī ibn Maḥmūd al-Baghdādī (colophon, fol. 293b).Worm-eaten. Extremely fragile.Incipit: اللهم انا نحمدك على ما علمت من البيان والهمت من التبيان ... [3أ] ... وبعد فانه جرى ببعض اندية الادب الذي ركدت في هذا العصرِ ريحهExplicit: فقال اجعل الموت نصب عينك وهذا فراق بيني وبينك فودعته وعبراتي يتحدرن من المآاقي وزفراتي يتصعدن من التراقي وكانت هذه خاتمة التلاقي قال القسم بن علي هذا اخر المقامات التي انشاتها بالاغترار وامليتها بلسان الاضطرار وقد الجيت الى ان ارصدتها للاستعراض وناديت عليها في سوق الاعتراض هذا مع معرفتى بانها من سقط المتاع ... [293ب] ... ولكن كان في الكتاب مسطورا وانا استغفر الله تعالى مما اودعتها من اباطيل اللغو واضاليل اللهو واسترشده الى ما يعصم من السهو ... وولي الخيرات في الدنيّ والاخره تم اعتذار المولف - Dark brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers. The covers are similarly blind-tooled with a lozenge on its point consisting of three fillets, inscribed within a border consisting of three fillets. Central cross pattern made of square stamps on their point. Paper pastedown and free endpaper. Rebacked. Disbound. This binding reminds that of Islamic manuscripts, Garrett no. 203B. - Elegant copy of the Maqāmāt al-Ḥarīrī.
