Spine and flap fore-edge of tan leather. Flap lined with red leather. Marbled paper pastedowns. Not sewn. - The first volume of a commentary on Maʻānī al-āthār, a work on the obscure ideas and allusions in the traditions by Abū Jaʻfar Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Ṭaḥāwī.
