Philological statement by ʻAbd al-Ḥalīm Nājīʹzādah (fol. 1a).Collation: Paper ; fol. x + 663 + iv ; quires signed: 2-68 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 27 lines per page ; frame-ruled in gold and black.Description: Rubricated ; some vowel signs ; watermarks ; MS in good condition.Decoration: Elaborate illuminated headpiece in pink, orange, gold, red, blue and white (fol. 2b).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم تسليما. باب الحاء ...Colophon: ختم الله بالصالحات اعمالنا وبلغنا في الدارين امالنا وجعلنا ووالدينا ومحبينا من اهل ولايه ونظمنا في سلك اخصايه واوليايه انه على ما يشاء قدير وصلى الله وسلم على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه اجمعين واخر دعوانا ان الحمد الله رب العالمين - Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Gold-stamped mandorla with pendants with black infill and gold-tooled decorative edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Gold-tooling on flap fore-edge. Violet paper pastedowns and marbled paper flyleaves. Multi-colored endbands. Spine is missing. - The second volume of an exposition of al-Qāmūs of al-Fīrūzābādī, commencing with ḥāʼ.
