Subject headings written on the margins in black ink. Two verses of poetry in Persian attributed to Khosrow on fol. 1a. Several inscriptions in Arabic and Persian, mainly short excerpts from various texts and verses of poetry, on fol. 1b-2a and 4a.Collation: Paper, fol. 231 ; iii (later added fly-leaves, fol. 1-3 in the modern foliation) + 1¹⁰ (-1, at the beginning of quire) 2-17¹⁰ 18⁶ 19-21¹⁰ 22⁸ 23¹² + iii (later added fly-leaves, fol. 229-231 in the modern foliation) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Lisān 32". Large central blind stamped mandorla, outlined in gold with radiating flecks. Outer border of fillets. Rebacked. Edges damaged. Paper pastedowns. - Gloss on al-Sharḥ al-muṭawwal, a commentary by Masʻūd ibn ʻUmar al-Taftazānī on Talkhīṣ al-Miftāḥ by Jalāl al-Dīn al-Qazwīnī (d. 739/1338), an abridgment of part 3 of Miftāḥ al-ʻulūm by al-Sakkākī (d. 626/1229), on rhetoric (al-Maʻānī wa-al-bayān). This copy starts directly with the gloss, with no preamble.
