First quire of thick paper, glossy, with laid and chain lines visible; second quire of European paper with watermark. Fol. 1 consists of a later piece of paper pasted on the recto of an original leaf. Collation statement on the margin of the colophon (fol. 17b). Blue marbled paper pastedowns and free endpapers. - Commentary on al-Qaṣīdah al-munfarijah by Yūsuf ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Naḥwī al-Tawzarī (d. 513/1119), with a preamble giving some details on the life of Ibn al-Naḥwī. The text is followed on fol. 17b-19b by several fāʼidah by a later hand, including recipes to make hair grow, facilitate sexual intercourse, and the like.
