Notlar FIRST TREATISE starts with an introduction that covers several subjects. These include the explanation of divers matters such as an average day, the collection of stars of the Zodiac, sphere (Sun at) of the horizon, sphere (Sun) at midday, sphere (Sun in) of elevation, sphere (Sun in) of declination, the almuquantarat (modified astrolabe), daily orbits, the extent of the east, direction of the qiblah[1] for a city, latitude of the city, longitude of the city and Sublime Point. There is also discussion on the planets.SECOND TREATISE is a continuous text without headings. The text provides practical information on determining the direction for Mecca, an essential guide for positioning during daily prayers. Colophon for 2nd Treatise states that this treatise was copied from a draft by the hand of the author Ahmad, known as Koia/ Khwaja Ishaq...who was at that time a teacher at the school of the Deceased Ghazikhuda vandkar and copied at the end of the month of 2nd Jamadi in the year of 1102 of H.D. (1690 A.D.) There are a number of marginal notes/corrections in black ink and mathematical calculations in red ink. This manuscript was completed in the fifth and sixth lunar months of the Islamic Calendar. There is no published record of this manuscript, only a later copy (1708) of the second treatise in the Dar al-Kutub in Cairo, Egypt.
