Glazed European paper.Origin: Copied by Ḥusayn ibn Aḥmad ibn Aḥmad ibn Barakāt al-Khanānī [?] al-Shāfiʻī al-Ashʻarī and completed on the 25th of Muḥarram 1183 (1769) -- colophon (fol. 39b).Incipit: بسملة وبه ثقتى الحمد لله مقدر الموت على العباد ومحذر الفوت لينتهزوا فرصة الاجتهاد وجاعل موت المومنين وسيلة الى لقايه ومدخلا الى دار احسانه وحسن جزايهExplicit: ولا تجعل فى قلوبنا غلا للذين امنوا ربنا انك روف رحيم وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم - Later quarter-bound type III (without flap) binding in red leather and purple and red marbled paper. Flyleaves in dark cream wove paper. Substantial insect damage to the spine and the ms is loose inside the covers. - A treatise on death.
