Binding includes pieces of printed document entitled "Rules to be observed by the captain and the crew" issued by Ali Pacha, Grand Admiral of the Ottoman Empire. - An abridgment of Kitāb Uṣūl al-ḥadīth, a work on the science of tradition by Ibn al-Ṣalāḥ, 643/1245. The ground work is also known as Kitāb ʻUlūm al-ḥadīth.
