(fol. 59a).Incipit: بسم ... اللهم بك نستعين وعليك نتوكل سبحانك اللهم نحمد على نعمك ... اما بعد فهذا كتاب فى اسماء الرجال مشتمل على بابين الباب الاول فى ذكر الصحابة ذكرهم وانثاهم ومن بعدهم من التابعينExplicit: وحلية الاولياء لابى نعيم الاصفهانى وجامع الاصول ومناقب الاخيار لابى السعادات الجزرى والكاشف لابى عبد الله الذهبى الدمشقى قال مصنف هذا الكتاب وفرغت يوم الجمعة فى عشرى رجب سنة اربعين وسبعمائة من جمعه وتهذيبه وتشديقه وانا اضعف العباد ... محمد بن عبد الله الخطيب بن محمد بمعاونة ومعاضدة شيخى ومولاى سلطان المقرين وامام المحققين شرف الملة والدين حجة الله تعالى على المسلمين الحسين بن عبد الله بن محمد الطيبي متعهم الله تعالى بطوال حياته ثم عرضته عليه كما عرضت المشكوة عليه فاستحسنه كما استحسنها واستجادها والحمد لله رب العالمين والصلوة والسلام على محمد النبى الامى العربى صلى الله تعالى عليه وعلى اله واصحابه اجمعين اللهم صل على محمد افضل ما صليت على عبادك الصالحين تم - Quarter bound with flap, in marbled paper and brown leather. Pink-dyed paper pastedowns. - Biographical dictionary of transmitters of ḥadīths among the Companions of the Prophet Muḥammad and their followers, as mentioned in the author's Mishkāt al-maṣābīḥ. According to the end of the text, this was completed on 20 Rajab 740 [Jan. 21, 1340].
