Edge of frame decorated with semi-circles in similar colors. The first page of volume two frame-ruled in yellow and red with red and green decoration around the edges.Origin: According to colophon, volume 1 copy completed Thursday 22 Rabīʻ al-Thānī 1279 by Abū al-Ḥasan ibn ʻAbd al-Fattāḥ al-Ghālibī (vol. 1, fol. 388a) -- According to colophon, volume 2 copy completed Wednesday 25 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1279 by Abū al-Ḥasan ibn ʻAbd al-Fattāḥ al-Ghālibī (vol. 2, fol. 376a).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد ... الحمد لله المنفرد بالدوام الباقي بعد فناء الايام ... وبعد فاني كنت كثيرا ما اسمع سيدي الشيخ ...Colophon: ووافق الفراغ من نسخ هذا الکتاب في يوم الاربعاء الموافق لخمس وعشرين مضت من شهرذي القعده الحرام سنة تسع وسبعين بعد المائتين والالف من الهجرة النبوية على صاحبها افضل الصلاة واتم السلام على يد کاتبه الفقير الى الله تعالى ابي الحسن بن عبدالفتاح الغالبي غفرالله له ولوالديه ولمشايخه ولاخوانه في الله تعالى احياء. امواتا وکافة المسلمين امين يا رب العالمين . تم تم تم - Contemporaneous type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Blind-tooled frame and edging on covers and flap. Marbled paper pastedowns. Not sewn. In cases (240 x 172 mm.) with fabric pull strap. - A lengthy work in two volumes that serves as a guide for the performance of right doing according to Muslim law, and abounds with warnings against innovations. The work is otherwise known as Madkhal al-sharʻ al-sharīf.
