Two obliterated ownership statements on fol. 2a. Title "Alfīyah" written in black ink on upper cover.Collation: Paper ; fol. 45 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 15 lines per page in two columns.Description: Rubricated ; written in an elegant medium small vocalized script ; glazed paper with visible laid lines and prominent pulp.Origin: Copied by Bāqī Samarqandī in 985 (1577-8) -- colophon (fol. 44b).Incipit: يقول راجي مدد لا ينقضي محمد هو الرضي بن الرضيExplicit: ومنه نسأل الصلات الدايمه موصولة منه بحسن الخاتمة وحسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل نعم المولي ونعم النصير ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله العلي العظيم - Type II (with flap) binding in brown leather and pink paper. Pastedowns and lining to the envelope flap in cream paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in pink paper. - An instructional book in verse on the conduct of Sufi novices.
