Insert with a description of the manuscript.Collation: Paper ; fol. i (later paper) + 62 + i (later paper) ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 25 lines per page.Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; watermarks (three crescents) ; MS in good condition; title page repaired.Origin: According to colophon copy completed Tuesday 26 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1193 by ʻAbd al-Majīd al-Sharīf al-Ṣahrajtī al-Shāfiʻī (fol. 62a).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه نستعين الحمد لله الذي من علينا بسيدنا محمد ... اما بعد فيقول احقر عباد ربه الرحيم الودود الفقير العاجز ابراهيم ابن مسعود الروض الشافعي ثم الاحمدي الشعيبي الششتري قد التمس مني بعض اخواني ان اضح لهم شرحا علي ورد استاذي ...Colophon: وکان الفراغ من کتابته يوم الثلاث المبارك نهار ستة وعشر[ين] خلت من شهر ذي الحجة سنة 1193 سنة ثلاثة وتسعون مائة والف من هجرته صلى الله عليه وسلم على يد کاتبه عبد المجيد الشريف الصهرجتي الشافعي غفر الله له ولوالديه ولمن دعا له بالمغفرة امين والحمد لله رب العالمين - Later quarter-bound type III (without flap) binding in red letaher and brown spotted paper. Gold-stamped bands on spine. Covering of spine is loose revealing printed page in French. - A commentary on Ḥizb al-fatḥ wa-al-najāḥ, a prayer by Muḥammad ibn Shuʻayb.
