Notlar	Ms. codex.Title from fol. 1a.25 lines per page. Written in medium small nastaʻlīq, except from fol. 125a onwards when the script changes into a small naskh, in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Foliation in Arabic numerals in black ink and in Western numerals in pencil. Glazed cream paper with no visible laid or chain lines. Extensive marginal annotations and corrections throughout, including within the text. Ff. 1b-3b have a table of contents in black and red ink. Ff. 1a, 4a-b, 5a and 172b-173a all have additional text, short inscriptions and various excerpts. Paper is fragile throughout, there is substantial water damage, the quality of text is very poor and a lot of it is hardly legible, especially the annotations. Almond shaped ownership stamp on fol. 5a.Incipit: يقول العبد المتوسل الى الله تع باقوى الذريعة عبيد الله بن مسعود بن تاج الشريعةExplicit: ومع ذلك يباح التناول اعتمادا على الغائب - Thick brown leather with wide prominent grain, no pasteboard. Small central mandorla on upper cover, blind stamped, painted in gold and pasted on the leather. - A commentary on Wiqāyat al-riwāyah fī masāʼil al-Hidāyah, a work on fiqh by the author's grandfather, Maḥmūd ibn Ṣadr al-Sharīʻah al-Maḥbūbī (d. 1274 or 5). As for the work itself, Wiqāyat al-riwāyah is an epitome of the work called al-Hidāyah by ʻAlī ibn Abī Bakr al-Marghīnānī (d. 1196 or 7).
