Thin dark cream to biscuit paper, with thick laid lines visible. Short text by another hand on fol. 274b. Quaternions; the central bifol. of each quire is marked by a sign on the upper left corner; catchword on the verso of each leaf. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (faulty from fol. 110 on).Inscription in Arabic script on fol (i)a: "Raqm 161 ʻ".Origin: According to colophon, copied by Bāqī Muḥammad ibn Safīd ibn Muḥammad al-Sarakhsī(?) in Bukhārá at the end of Shaʻbān 989 [Sept. 1581] (fol. 274a).Incipit: بالاتفاق الا ان مفهم من عدّ التسمية دون انعمت عليهم ومنهم ... بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم من الفاتحة وعليه قراء مكة والكوفة وفقهاؤهما وابن المبارك - Quarter bound in black cloth and red leather. - First part of a commentary on the Qurān, comprising the text from al-Fātiḥah to the end of Sūrat al-Kahf (18). According to a note at the end of this copy, Bayḍawī completed this part on 11 Ramaḍān 686 (fol. 274a).
