Notlar Ms. codex.Title from title page (fol. 1a). The same title appears in the colophon (fol. 23b).Physical description: 13 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh (professional hand) in black ink with use of red for headings and key-words such as "ḥadathanā". Cream paper, glossy, hardly translucid, with laid and chain lines visible. Lines of poetry and obliterated inscription (probably reading statement) after colophon (fol. 23b).Origin: According to colophon, copied by Muḥammad ibn Shukr al-Shāfiʻī in 724 (fol. 23b).Incipit: اخبرنا الشاخ الامام الحافظ مجد الدين شيخ الاسلام ابو الفرج يحيى بن محمود بن سعد اليقهى الاصفهانى رضى الله عنه انا الشيخ ابو بكر احمد بن على بن محمد بن موسى المقرى ... عن عمرو بن قيس الكندى عن عبد الله بن بسر قال جآء اعرابيان الى النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال احدهما [2أ] يعقوب بن سعيد بن مسلمة قال رايت الحجاج ابن ارطاه يخضب بالسوادExplicit: قال ادركت اقوامًا كان احدهم اشحّ على عمره منه على دهره ودنياه اخر كتاب العمر والشيب والحمد لله اولًا واخرًا وصلى الله على محمد النبى واله وصحبه وسلم كثيؤًا ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله - Red leather and marbled paper. Yellow paper pastedowns. - Collection of sayings arranged by topics, with chain of transmitters. Apparently lacuna after fol. 1.
