Thick light cream paper, glossy, with laid lines and chain lines visible. Fol. 1 consists of two leaves pasted to each other. Fol. 194a-196b: blank. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "al-Juzʼ al-thānī min Tuḥfat al-ḥarīṣ fī sharḥ al-Talkhīṣ". Severe worm damage, affecting mainly the first leaves.Collation: paper, fol. 196 ; 1¹⁰ (-1, two first fol.) 2-19¹⁰ 20⁶ (+1, after fol. 195) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf ; the quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form "Thānī" (see fol. 10a).Copy completed by Aḥmad ibn Bahādur ibn ʻAbd Allāh al-Ḥanafī on Wednesday 2 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 891[March 8, 1486] (colophon, fol. 193b).Incipit: ص كتاب القضاء باب ما ينفذ فيه وما لا ينفذ قصى المديون اولبوه اوزرجها ... ش رجل ادعي انه ابن الميت او وصية واقام بينة عند قاضExplicit: والعجّاب بالتشديد اكثر منه والاشكال بكسر الهمزة مصدر اشكل الامر اشكالا فهو مشكل وكنه الشي بصم الاول وسكون الثانى نهايته تقال اعرفه كنه المعرفة والله اعلم بالصواب قال العبد الضعيف جامع شمل هذا التاليف هذا اخر ما رتبه الخاطر واملها وهذيه الناظر واصطفاه من شرط الفاظ هذا الموجيز الكافل بغاية التعجيب والتعجير وعلما يهتدي به الى يوم الدين انه على كل شي قدير ... وحسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل نعم المولي ونعم النصير تم الكتاب - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower cover, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. Both covers have a central blind stamped mandorla with a floral motif, with two pendants on the vertical axis. The outer border consists of a running pattern of impressions of a double-s stamp and fillets. Similar border on the envelope flap, with small stamp on its point. Leather doublure. Worm damage. - Second volume of a commentary on Talkhīṣ al-Jāmiʻ al-kabīr, an abridgment by Muḥammad ibn ʻAbbād al-Khilāṭī (d. 652/1254) of the Jāmiʻ al-kabīr by Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Shaybānī (d. 189/804).
