Light cream paper with a few lines and pulp visible. Waqf (see inscription "Waqf fī sabīl Allāh taʻālá", with seal on the upper margin of fol. 1b). Several additions (fāʼidah) by another hand on fol. 218b. Some leaves water damaged and worm eaten (particularly fol. 2-5).Copy completed on 9 Ramaḍān 874 [March 12, 1470] by Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm al-Ansārī al-Shāfiʻī in his ---? in the Masjid al-Aqṣá al-Sharīf (colophon, fol. 218a, first line obliterated).Incipit: نسل الله من الحمد ما يبلغ قضا حقه وان حق الله لعظيمExplicit: مجري الاقدار ومصفي الاكدار ومدير الليل والنهار ومدبّر الايراد والاصدار - Upper cover made of red leather over paper pasteboard, with black leather doublure with blind stamped mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis and an outer gilt border. Lower cover, fore-edge flap and envelope flap made of golden brown leather over paper pasteboard. The lower cover has a blind stamped and gold painted central mandorla outlined in gold with a border consisting of blind tooled fillets. Similar border on the envelope flap, with a blind stamped and gold painted stamp on its point. - A history of the conquest of Syria and Palestine by Ṣalāḥ al-Dīn.
