Opening spread frame-ruled in gold and black (fol. 7b-8a).Origin: According to colophon copy completed Sunday 18 Rajab 1095 by ʻAbd al-Muḥsin ibn ʻAbd al-Ghanī al-ʻAnbūsī (fol. 555b).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه نستعين ان اجدر ما افتتحت به الکتب والدفاتر ... اما بعد فيقول العبد الغريق في بحار الخطا القاصر عن ان يمد فى ساحل هذا المحر الخطا ...Colophon: وکان الفراغ من کتابة هذا الشرح المبارك بحمد الله وعونه وحسن توفيقه اواخر نهار الاحد المبارك ثامن عشر شهر رجب الفرد الحرام الذي هو من شهور سنة خمس وتسعين والف احسن الله ختامها بخير امين على يد الفقير الحقير المعترف بالذنب والتقصير عبد المحسن بن الغني العنبوسي غفرالله له ولوالديه ولمن کتب برسمه ولجميع المسلمين والمسلمات والمؤمنين والمؤمنات امين امين امين والحمد لله رب العالمين تم تم تم - Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Gold-stamped mandorla with pendants and cornerpieces and decorative gold-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Gold-tooled decoration on spine and flap fore-edge. Dark brown leather doublures with small gold-tooled central design and edging. Not currently sewn. - A commentary on Tanwīr al-abṣār wa-jāmiʻ al-biḥār.
