Text 2: 25 lines per page, written in small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Light cream European glazed paper. Most leaves are stained by water. Excerpt signed Ṭayyibī on a piece of paper bewteen fol. 97 and 98. Leaf from a book on calligraphy between fol. 99 and 100. Verses of poetry in Persian in black ink and several ownership statements in pencil on fol. 1a. Obliterated ownership statement and seal on fol. 2a. Ownership statement? on the upper corner of fol. 35a. Several inscriptions on fol. 100a.Inscription in Arabic script in red pencil on the first fly-leaf of the upper cover: "Raqm 178 ʻayn"Text 1 copied by Musṭafá on the night of ʻĪd al-Aḍḥā (10 Dhū al-Ḥijjah) 1221 (colophon, fol. 99b). The last fol. of Text 2 is missing, and replaced by fol. 143 on which the end of the text was copied on 12 Rajab 1311 [1894]. - Dark brown leather over paper pasteboard for upper and lower covers. Blind stamped central mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis within a frame of fillets and a running s-shape pattern. Rebacked. - Commentary on Tahdhīb al-manṭiq by Masʻūd ibn ʻUmar al-Taftazānī (d. 791/1389), with a gloss by Mīr Abū al-Fatḥ al-Saʻīdī (see Kashf al-zụnūn, ed. Fluegel, II, p. 480). According to the title on fol. 1a, this copy also contains a Tatimmah of Dawwānī's Sharḥ. Several ḥāshīyah written by the same hand as the text on the margins and between the lines.
