Notlar Ms. codex.Title from fol. 1a.16 lines per page. Written in medium small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. On fol. 5b and 6a the text is within a gold leaf frame outlined in black ink. Fol. 5b has an illuminated head piece executed in gold leaf with blue and red watercolors. Foliation in Arabic numerals in black ink. Dark cream glazed paper with no chain or laid lines. Extensive marginal annotation throughout, as well as inside the text and on inserted slips. Ff. 1b-3a have a table of contents in black ink.Incipit: فيقول العبد المتوسل الى الله تعالى باقوى الذريعة عبيد الله بن مسعود بن تاج الشريعة ... هذا حل المواضع المغلقة من وقاية الرواية من مسائل الهدايةExplicit: ومع ذلك يباح التناول اعتمادا على الغالب - European half leather binding in red leather and grained blue paper over pasteboard on covers. Gold tooled panels on spine between bands, and gold tooled title "Ṣadr al-Sharīʻah". Marbled endleaves. - A commentary on Wiqāyat al-riwāyah fī masāʼil al-Hidāyah, a work on fiqh by the author's grandfather, Maḥmūd ibn Ṣadr al-Sharīʻah al-Maḥbūbī (d. 1274 or 5). As for the work itself, Wiqāyat al-riwāyah is an epitome of the work called al-Hidāyah by ʻAlī ibn Abī Bakr al-Marghīnānī (d. 1196 or 7).
