Notlar Ms. codex.Title from title page (fol. 1a). The same title appears in the preamble of the text, with no "Kitāb" (fol. 2b).Physical description: 15 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red; yāʼ for alif maqṣūrah; final yāʼ dotted; mark for undotted sīn. Diagram of the seven climates on fol. 21a. Cream paper, soft, with pulp visible. Fol. 177 is a later added fly-leaf (European paper). Fol. 13-16, 60, 69, 70-71, 74-75, 78-97 are later replacements (European paper with watermark). According to catchwords fol. 127 should be placed between fol. 118 and 119. Mainly quinions; catchword on the verso of fol. 1-4 and 10 of each quire. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits the first fol.). Loose leaves ; wear on fol. 1a.Two reading statements ("ṭālaʻa fīh") on fol. 175b, in the name of Mūsá ibn Muḥammad ibn Jamīl(?) and of Sayyid Ḥamd Ibn ʻAbd Allāh Ibn al-Tājir, the second dated Sunday 2 Rajab 993(?) [1585].Origin: According to colophon, copied by Qāsim ibn al-Ṣalāḥ for himself, and completed on Tuesday 11 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 873 [May 23, 1469] (fol. 174a, followed by verses of poetry on fol. 174b).Incipit: الحمد لله الذي انطق الطير بحكمته واجرى البحار السبعة بقدرته وجعل مولانا السلطان سابع من جلس على سرير الملك من اخوته ... The text is followed on fol. 175b and 176b by verses of poetry.
