Notlar Ms. codex.Title supplied by cataloger. The name of the author of the commentary and of the commented text appear in a note by a later hand on fol. (ii)a.29 lines. Written in small naskh with elements of taʻlīq in black ink, with use of red for overlining of the commented text and for keywords and headings. Light cream paper, glossy, with laid lines visible. Patches on some leaves (see fol. 11, 13). Marginal annotations apparently by the same hand as the main text (some erased, see fol. 15b). Fol. i-iv are later additions on European glazed paper with watermark. On fol. (ii)b-(iv)b: Table of contents by a later hand. Inscription on fol. 386b.Inscription in Arabic numerals on a spine label (vertical): "8[?]93" ; on a label pasted on the upper cover: "420" ; on the recto of the first flyleaf (fol. (i)a): "417" ; on fol. (ii)a: "894".Copy completed during Ramaḍān 883 [Nov.-Dec. 1478], from a copy collated on the author's copy by Muḥammad ibn Kamāl al-Dīn ibn Ẓahīr al-Dīn al-Bilālī al-Ījī(?), known as Saʻd al-Dīn (colophon, fol. 386a).Incipit: سبحان من تقدست سبحات جماله عن سمة الحدوث والزوال ... وبعد فان انفع المطالب حالا ومآلا وارفع المآرب منقبة وكمالا ... [2أ] ... بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ضمن المص تغمد الله بغفرانه خطبة كتابه الاشارة الى مقاصد علم الكلامExplicit: قال المص وليكن هذا آخر الكلام ... [386أ] ... انه هو الغفور الرحيم وانا اقول هذا ما تيسر لنا بعون الله وحسن توفيقه من كشف مشكلاته وتوضيح معضلاته وتحرير مسائله وتقرير دلائله ... وجعله ذخرا ليوم الدين انه خير موفق ومعين قال الشارح رحمه الله تعالى وقع الفراغ من تاليفه يوم السبت من اوايل شوال سنة سبع وثمانمائة بمحروسة سمرقند صينت عن الآفات وحسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل نعم المولى ونعم النصير والحمد لله رب العالمين والصلوة و السلام الاتمات الاكملات على سيد المرسلين وعلى آله واصحابه الكرام الغرا المحجلين - Brown leather for upper and lower covers, with a central blind stamped mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis enclosed in an outer frame consisting of blind tooled and gold painted fillets and guilloche. The central mandorla and pendants are outlined in gold. Red-dyed paper pastedown. Rebacked. Spine damaged. Disbound. - Commentary on Kitāb al-mawāqif by ʻAḍud al-Dīn al-Ījī (d. 756/1355). The commentary was completed in Samarqand in the beginning of Shawwāl 807 [April 1405] (see end of text, fol. 386a).
