Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals.Copy completed by Aḥmad ibn ʻAlī al-Rashīdī on Yawm al-Aḥad 24 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1009.Incipit: الحمد لله الذي شرف طابه وشوق القلوب لسماع اخبارها المستطابة ... وبعد فقد شغفت باخبار الحبيبةExplicit: قال الهجرى ومر بين طريق اى يسلك هناك الى يين والله تعالى اعلم بالصواب واليه المرجع والمآب والحمد للّه الذي هدانا لهذا وما كنا لنهتدى لو لا ان هدانا الله وصلى الله على سيدنا ومولانا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم تسليما كثيرا دايما ابدا الابدين ودهر الداهرين ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله العالى العظيم وحسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل نعم المولى ونعم النصير - Red leather over pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. Both covers have a central mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis. Outer frame of fillets and running patterns. Paper pastedowns. - History of Medina, an abridgment of the author's Tabiʻat wafāʼ fī taʼrīkh al-Bayt al-Muṣṭafá. According to a note transmitted from the author at the end of this copy, the text was completed on 15 Shawwāl 893 [Sept. 22, 1488] (see fol. 227a).
