Occasional damp staining and a few repairs.Origin: First half completed Jumādá II 1069 H [February-March 1659], by Muḥammad Murād ibn Mahdī al-Kashmīrī (leaf 181a).Incipit: الحمد لله ولى الحمد و مستحقه - Full brown leather with blind-stamped fillets. - First volume of a commentary on al-Mufīd's Muqniʻah, comprising Kitāb al-ṭahārah through Kitāb al-jihād. Text begins on leaf 10b and is preceded by the following: notes and extracts, particularly from Ḥadīqat al-Shīʻah, on a variety of legal matters; a short Persian text on leaves 3b-4a entitled "Risālah fī anḥāʼ ṣiyagh ʻuqūd al-nikāḥ"; a chart on leaf 5b; and a short biography of al-Shaykh al-Mufīd in Persian on leaves 7a-7b. Text is followed by a detached leaf containing extracts.
