In order to combat its detrimental influence, the anonymous author compiled the present compendium of orthodox tenets and dedicated it to the Muẓaffaridah Abū al-Fawāris Shāh Shujāʻ (d. 786/1384); it is divided into two qism (with fuither subdivisions):الاول) فى مدارك العلومالثانى) فى مسالك الفهومThe first qism deals with uṣūl al-fiqh according to Shāfiʻite and Ḥanafite schools (fol. 6a-32a), logic (32a-59b), and psychology (59b-65b); the second qism contains physics and metaphysics (65b-72b); then follows khātimah فى ذکر اقاوىل المعتزلة (72.b sqq.)
