(one leaf blank between fol. 17 and 18).Origin: According to colophon, copied by Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd al-Majīd al-Dūmānī al-Ḥanbalī, who completed his work (naskh) on Monday 28 "min shahr Allāh al-ḥarām" 1259, in the Madrasat al-Murādīyah (fol. 45b).Incipit: بسم ... وهو حسبى قال الشيخ الامام الحبر الهمام العالم العلامة العمدة الفهامة الشيخ مرعى بن الشيخ الامام يوسف بن ابى بكر بن احمد المقدسى الحنبلى رحمه الله الحمد لله الذى اكرم الانسان وحلاه بحلية النطق والبيان وجعل اللسان ترجمان الجنان ... وبعد فهذه اشارات يسيرة وعبارات قصيرة وضعتها فى المكاتبات وهذبتها يحتاج اليها ارباب الفضايل خصوصا من ابتلى بكثرة الرسايلExplicit: ثم نادى بالسير للجهاد فضك بالنصارى وقتل واسر وحرب من ديارهم ما لا يحصى ثم عاد الى بغداد تم الكتاب بعون الله الملك الوهاب - Quarter bound with flap in ocre paper and red leather. - Short treatise on epistolography, in fourteen chapters (bāb). Taqrīẓ(?) on the margin of the colophon (fol. 45b), apparently by the same hand as the main text.
