Notlar	Originally composed in Arabic by Narshakhī, this history was translated into Persian [with numerous modifications and additions] by Abū Naṣr Aḥmad b. Muḥammad Qubāwī in 522/1128. In 574/1178-9, Muḥammad b. Zufar abridged Qubāwī's edition, added information from other works, and presented his edition to Burhān al-Dīn ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz II b. Muḥammad, the spiritual leader of the Hanafis in Bukhara. Finally, an unknown author from the Mongol period added details about the Mongol conquest of Bukhara. The Persian text as we know it must therefore be much altered from its original form.--Encyclopaedia of Islam. \| Text in Persian, with introduction in French.
