Followed by several other dogmatic tracts, namely: (1) al-Risālah fī al-iʿtiqādāt, by Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī ibn Bābawayh, surnamed al-Ṣadūq; (2) on the margin of the preceding, al-Risālah fī al-iʿtiqādāt, by Muḥammad Bāqir Majlisī; (3) an extract from a work entitled Sharh al-arbaʿīn ḥadīth, by Muḥammad Bāqir, consisting of a series of questions relating to different verses of the Koran, put to the Imam ʿAlī al-Riḍā by the Caliph al-Maʾmūn, with the Imamʾs answers, followed by a commentary; and (4) on the margin of the preceding, traditions relating to the Creation, Muḥammadʾs ascent into heaven, the Resurrection, and the Angel of Death, each with a commentary, being apparently extracts from the same work.
