Inscription dated [1679/80] (fol. 1a)., Collation: Paper ; fol. 271 + ii ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 34 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red., Description: Headings in red, yellow, blue and green ; watermarks (later endpaper: three crescents; text: crown-star-crescent; other unidentified; roman-alphabet initial countermark with trefoil) ; MS in good condition., Decoration: Opening spread in geometric frame of green, red, yellow, blue and black (fol. 2b-3a). Colophon lined with bands of blue, red, green and yellow (fol. 271a)., Origin: Probably from the XVIIth century. Copied by Walī ibn ʻUmar (fol. 271a)., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله منطق البلغاء باللغي في البوادي ... اما بعد فان للعلم رياضا وحياضا ..., Colophon: تم الكتاب بعون الملك الوهاب بقلم الفقير الحقير ولي بن عمر غفر الله له ولوالديه ولجميع المسلمين والحمد لله صلا و م | Later? type III (without flap) binding in red leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and cornerpieces and blind-tooled edging.
