The first style is also in an octagonal border-rule of gold and black, but without sūrah titles; instead, a gold line indicates where a new sūrah begins; the hand is a clear, unvocalized naskh (f. 39-52, 77-82, 89, 106-118). The second style has a circular border-rule in black and gold with surah titles in gold ink; the text and border are sometimes cut off on the outside edge; the hand is a partially vocalized naskh (f. 245-246, 251-254, 260-262, 269-272)., Origin: Probably copied in the mid to late 19th century; machine made paper; possible date in the colophon of 1320 A.H (1903) (f. 272r), though that may be only for the last set of replacement pages. | Arabic. | Gift of Gordon A.
