Örnek Metin This is a manuscript of Qumrī's Kitāb al-Ghiná wa-al-muná (sometimes referred to as Ghina wa Muna), probably copied in Syria, perhaps by a Jewish student of medicine. The title was popularly known by translation as the book of wealth and wishes; it was mostly more obscure than Qumrī's supposed successor Avicenna (Abū ʻAlī ibn Sīnā, 980-1037) and his work, though it served as an encyclopedic work of pharmacology, external medication, and treatment and classification of fevers. Additional medical material written in a later hand in lighter ink (f. 229v-231v); written in an Oriental cursive Hebrew script in single columns, mostly of 31 lines. Bound in a contemporary leather binding (wearing, creasing, and splitting).
Biyografi/Tarihçe Tenth century medical authority from Bukhara, court physician to Abu Salih Mansur, emir of the Samanids (died 976); he is thought to have taught medicine to Avicenna.
Atıf Şekli UPenn CAJS Rar Ms 579.
