Burdah selections in nastaʻliq in black ink; pointed., Decoration: Polychrome headpieces in blue, yellow, gold, red, and green over text on first opening (f. 5v-6r); full page polychrome illustrations of the mosque at Mecca (f. 17v) and the Rawḍah at Medina (f.18r); textblock is gold sprinkled and bordered in blue, red, and gold rules; gold roundels punctuate text. Rubrications in red. Page-opening ruled in blue and gold., Binding: Lacquered red paper over pasteboard (Type III) with gilt paper inlays on a central medallion and two pendants on the vertical axis, with a blind stamped frame. The central medallion is embossed with the binder's name and a formula of humility: al-ʻabd al-ḥaqīr Hakīm Mullā Khawājah Saḥḥāf. Marbled paper doublure. This copy is preceded and followed by 91 lines from Būṣīrī's poem known as al-Burdah (f. 1v-5r, 126v-130v) copied in nastaʻliq. Includes a few marginal notes in Persian.
