Örnek Metin Selections from Genesis I and II written in Samaritan Hebrew charachters, by Jacob Kahen of Nablus (Shekhem), with his additional autograph in Samaritan Hebrew following the Biblical text on f. 8r ("מכתב יעקב בן עזי הכהן בשכם"), and with a title page showing the Samaritan Hebrew square and cursive scripts, above Hebrew square and cursive scripts (for conversion between the two charachters). Signature on title page in Samaritan Hebrew square script ("יעקב כהן בשכם א"ר"), a Hebrew square script (יעקב כהן שכם א.ר.""), English ("JACOB KAHEN, NABLUS, PALESTIN"), and in Arabic. Written in single columns of sixteen lines, blind-ruled, with all margins justified (and letters adjusted end-line). Bound in contemporary painted boards, with Kahen's autograph, and "ספר בראשית" written in Samaritan Hebrew and Hebrew square charachters.
